

In 2007 the initial program was launched at Nomfihlela Primary School in the rural district of KwaXimba, located 50 km outside Durban, South Africa. In one year reading and writing skills increased by 30% which is a great success. During the same year numeric arithmetic skills increased by 20%. Sport For Education has also built two new class rooms in order to improve the educational environment. Sport For Education helps the school to improve leadership routines through basic education in economical planning and leadership. Our teachers at Nomfihlela are now receiving computer and Internet courses.
